If your Hotpoint washing machine shows an error code or LED lights start flashing, don’t worry. This happens a lot and is easy to fix. Before you can fix your Hotpoint washing machine and get it working again, you need to know what the problem code means. Your Hotpoint washing machine may have error codes and flashing lights. This page will explain what they mean and show you how to fix them.

Most problems can be fixed at home, but if the Hotpoint washing machine fault code shows a problem with the motor or other parts inside, make sure that everything is linked correctly and works. Hotpoint Washing Machine Error Codes

F01 — Electronic circuit board fault

Issue: Washing Machine is not operating – some or all functions are not selectable.

 

Advice: We recommend you disconnect (unplug) the appliance from the mains supply for a minimum of 2 minutes. Reconnect supply and wait 30 seconds and try starting the machine again.

F02 — Motor circuit fault

Issue: Intermittent or no drum rotation during wash cycle.

F03 — Temperature sensing fault

Issue: Washing Machine is not heating on wash or dry settings.

F05 — Waste pipe blockage or pump issue

Issue: Washing Machine’s door will not open / the door can be opened but water remains inside the drum.

Advice: Please check for blockages in your pump filter (if applicable to model – please see user handbook). Also check for any blockages in waste water hose and in any under-sink plumbing.If none of the above solutions work, it is likely you have a pump failure and will need further assistance.

F06: Door lock fault

Issue: The washing machine’s door cannot be opened or closed, / when the door is closed, the machine will not start.

Advice: If your washing machine’s door will not close, please check for any obstructions in the door lock. If the fault still remains then we recommend you call our customer service center to book an engineer on: 0330 173 8653.

F07 — Electronic circuit board fault / heating circuit fault

Issue: During a wash cycle the programme pauses part way through/ the machine is not heating and the pump runs continuously.

F08 — Heater fault

Issue: During a wash cycle the programme pauses part way through.

Advice: We recommend you call our customer service centre to book an engineer

F09 — Software fault

Issue: Washing Machine is not operating multiple flashing lights and/or displays. Unable to select a programme.

F11 — Pump circuit fault

Issue: Water remains in Washing Machines / not pumping out.

Advice: We recommend you call our customer service centre to book an engineer

F12 — Electronic control fault

Issue: Washing Machine is not operating (turning on).

F13 — Dryer temperature sensing fault (washer dryers only)

Issue: The washer and dryer is not drying clothes.

F15 — Heater control fault (Washing Machine and Washer Dryers)

Issue: Washing Machine is not heating water or pauses during a wash cycle / not drying or pauses during drying cycle.

F16 — Drum lock position sensor fault (top loading machines only)

Issue: Washing Machine’s drum is stopping in the wrong position or is not locked in the correct position.

F18 — Internal data error

Issue: Some or all display / functions do not work on my washing machines.

Advice: Please disconnect (unplug) the appliance from the mains supply for a minimum of 2 minutes. Reconnect supply, wait 30 seconds and try starting the machine again.
