Hi
I have GTX1080 from EVGA. One of the small components on the back of the card has burnt out and I would like to know if you are able to replace/repair it?
It looks like a small surface mount capacitor. I can send photos to show which part has burnt out.
I’m not looking for RMA and I’m aware that Asus didn’t make this card. I’m willing to pay for the repair if you can give me an estimate of the repair cost. I would like to know if Asus would be willing to help repair this card because it still works despite the burnt capacitor. I’ve tried EVGA but they’re not willing to repair a card that’s out of warranty. I don’t want to throw the card away because that would be adding to the problem of e-waste and buying a new GPU is too expensive.
I’m having a hard time finding anyone at all who can either repair this card or point me in the right direction.
